The FinX Awards 2019 celebrate the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in the financial technology ecosystem in the Middle East and North Africa region. The awards also recognize innovation, excellence, and best practice shaping the future of financial services and inspiring a community of serial entrepreneurs, investment enthusiasts, passionate mentors, policy makers, and institutional CxOs towards financial inclusion and economic development.
FinX Awards are audited by Grant Thornton and judged by 12 professionals from around the world.
The second edition of the awards night, organized by Fintech Galaxy , is by invitation-only event taking place in Dubai, UAE on October 2nd, 2019 at 18:00 . The event involves a black-tie evening reception and gala dinner, and provides a platform for business networking opportunities, where regional and international fintech movers and shakers gather to recognize and honor individuals and/or institutions that shaped the future of the fintech ecosystem in the MENA region.

This award will go to the regulation entity that is actively investing and improving their fintech startup seamless experience.
This award recognises a city or country that has built a holistic progressive fintech ecosystem built around innovative banks, progressive regulations, successful startups, active capital market and solid infrastructure.
This award recognises a fixed-term, cohort-based, mentorship-driven program that helps and empowers entrepreneurs to foster the growth of their innovative companies by providing tools, resources, connections, knowledge and expertise.
The award recognises the MENA-based start-up that has demonstrated excellence in its industry sector – either through its innovative products or services, its evident business growth, its market competitiveness, or its industry impact.
The award recognises the Global start-up that has demonstrated excellence in its industry sector – either through its innovative products or services, its evident business growth, its market competitiveness, or its industry impact.
This award recognises an individual known by passion for entrepreneurship and ability as well as willingness to help startups and entrepreneurship grow.
An angel investor or a VC that has displayed the best investment acumen over the last year through an exit, early investment of a notable startup, or realization of an earlier investment.
A fintech entrepreneur that has shown notable achievements over the last year in terms of great customer growth, sales, funds raised, uniqueness, impact of the product/service and leadership in the ecosystem.
The award recognises a MENA fintech person who has demonstrated the highest degree of fintech excellence, innovation and leadership in the last year. Candidates should also have acted as a positive role model and actively sought to bring more diversity to the fintech industry.

There are 16 categories in the 2019 FinX Awards. You are invited to make submissions on a category-specific basis.
Winners will be selected solely by the Judging Panel based on any and all information submitted.
The Judging Panel shall assess submissions using a combination of qualitative and quantitative metrics.
While considered criteria’ is provided for each award, applicants were encouraged to submit any and all information that they consider relevant and decisive.
Innovation: Does the company seize a real opportunity, and will it have the power to change the industry? To demonstrate true innovation, the nominee will have delivered a new product or solution, or a new business model etc.
Customer Satisfaction: Does the company satisfy a real need or desire? Can the company provide evidence of the advantages its solution has over alternatives?
Value: Does the company have a unique value proposition? What is the relationship between cost and benefits and the impact on the environment and society as a whole?
Delivery: How are consumers engaged, and how is the offering delivered and made available to the marketplace?
Traction: Is the company still signing up new customers and can it retain them? Is it possible for the solution to scale into new markets and grow the enterprise further?
